Hello,
I’m Meena Alexander.
I’m an award-winning journalist and editor.

I write about whatever is bubbling beneath the surface of our cultural moment, be that the weaponisation of the word ‘diversity’ or the real reason adults are buying cuddly toys. Formerly the Associate Editor of Stylist, my work has also appeared in British Vogue, Glamour, Service95, The Guardian, Who What Wear and EE72.

When I’m not writing, I’m chatting. I chair live Q&As at festivals and literary events.
And when I’m not chatting, I’m reading. I was a judge of HarperCollins’ inaugural (Re)Presenting Romance writing prize and will always have a book recommendation up my sleeve when you need it.

I’m also the author of How To Be Curious: Ideas To Make You Think Differently, which was published by Headline Books in 2024.

In 2023 I was named Best Section Editor by the British Society Of Magazine Editors and appeared on the Professional Publishers Association’s Next Gen list. The year before that, I was one of Campaign’s Media 30 Under 30. I barely mention it, promise.
